About Us

Rocky Mountain Tails Pet Shop & Spa opened it’s doors in December 2010 as Calgary’s finest independent pet supply and grooming destination. We aim to satisfy all the needs of your barking, purring, hopping and squeaking pals with first rate customer service and advice, coupled with quality, healthy products.

We carry healthy dog and cat food from Orijen, Acana, go!, now!, Canidae, Felidae, Pronature Holistic, Honest Kitchen, K9 Natural, Amore, Addiction, Merrick, Almo and Weruva that we would fed to our own pets. All of our foods are wheat, corn and soy free and contain none of those nasty additives & preservatives like BHA, BHT and ethoxyquin. At Rocky Mountain Tails, we don’t just rely on the ingredients listed on the bag to make our decisions on the brands we carry. We look at other factors as well such as ownership, where the food is actually made and recall history.

We also have an excellent selection of tasty treats that we rotate occasionally for variety.

For the small animals in your fur-family, we have Oxbow hays, pellets and treats along with some other daily necessities.

We like to support local small businesses, so we are proud to offer products from manufacturers like Calgary’s own Waggers and Living the Dream, Fort McLeod’s Puppy Love Pet Products and Edmonton’s Kitty Kottage.

British Columbia brings us great dehydrated food and treat options from Amore Pet Foods, treats from Kaliwags, Dog n’ it, 4 paws bakery and Want a Cookie, bull sticks and chews from Open Range, slow baked bones from Bramblehill’s Churchill Farms, beautiful silver jewelery from Silver Suspensions, and some glass goodies from Mad about Glass.

One of the causes we feel the most strongly about is animal rescue. To that end, we encourage you to check out your local shelters and rescues when you find yourself searching for an animal companion. We have listed links to several under “Rescues” on this site.

We look forward to serving you in the near future.

Craig & Sandy
